Excel Introduction

DURATION: One day course

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Delegates will learn the basics of a spreadsheet application and will be able to create and modify calculating spreadsheets.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: People who are required to know how to create spreadsheets or work on existing Excel spreadsheets, using formatting and calculation tools.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: No prior experience of Excel is expected. Although delegates with limited experience on other spreadsheet applications will find it comfortable. A working knowledge of the windows operating system and use of the mouse and keyboard is essential.

Excel Intermediate

DURATION: One day course

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Delegates will build on basic knowledge of a spreadsheet application or the fundamentals and move on to more complex formulae and other more advanced Excel features.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: People who need to use Excel regularly to present attractive spreadsheets and perform tasks above the introductory level.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Delegates should have attended the Introduction course or be familiar with creating and working on Excel spreadsheet files.

Excel Advanced

DURATION: One day course

COURSE OBJECTIVES: Delegates will learn advanced Excel features allowing them to manage databases and manipulate stored data. Completing this level will be enough to use Excel as an efficient flat file database.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Competent Excel users who are facing difficulties in some of their spreadsheet aspirations and who want to create databases

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Delegates should have attended the Intermediate course or be competent Excel users regularly using complex functions and formulae.

Excel VBA Introduction

DURATION: Two day course

COURSE OBJECTIVES: This course is designed to give delegates a good grounding with the building blocks of the programming language which underlies Excel – Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: This course has been designed for the non-technical user who needs to design and create applications in Microsoft Excel. However, experienced technical staff will find that they can gain a very in-depth overview Visual Basic for Excel.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: The student attending this course will require a good working knowledge of Excel up to the level covered in Advance Excel course. Although no prior programming experience is needed, it will be an advantage to people attending this course.
