Microsoft Word

Word Introduction

DURATION: One day course

COURSE OBJECTIVES: This course covers the basics of word processing and gets delegates to the point where they can create and handle reasonably sized documents.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Anyone who wants to learn to use a word processor and create attractive documents, print, save and store them on a PC.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: No previous experience of word processing or typing is required for this course although familiarity with the Windows 95 (or NT) operating system and with using a mouse are both essential.

Word Intermediate

DURATION: One day course

COURSE OBJECTIVES: This course is designed for users of Word (any version) who want to go beyond basic or introductory use. It will give delegates skills in creating more complex documents and speed up work.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Word users concerned with speeding up their work and enhancing the look and functionality of their documents.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Delegates should have a working knowledge of Word (any version) and be familiar with basic screen elements, the mouse and have basic keyboard knowledge (speed not necessary).

Word Advanced

DURATION: One day course

COURSE OBJECTIVES: This course is designed for users of Word (any version) who want to go beyond intermediate tasks. It will give delegates skills in handling complex documents and advanced word processing features.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Word users concerned with long and/or complex documents and advanced page layout needs.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: Delegates should have a good grounding in Word (any version) and be familiar with most character and paragraph formatting features.

Word VBA Introduction

DURATION: Two day course

COURSE OBJECTIVES: This course introduces experienced Word users to developing the application and its uses. Delegates will learn a broad range of structures and procedures intended for manipulating data, documents and templates.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: People who intend to customise Word installations to manipulate data and/or create automated templates and forms.

EXPERIENCE NEEDED: This course assumes a very good grounding in the use of Microsoft Word. Delegates should have sat the Word Intermediate or Advanced course or have equivalent knowledge. A very clear understanding of the Windows operating system is essential. No programming experience is necessary.
